The Unwelcome Party
Session 3

After camping on the other side of the gate to Priss, the intrepid party of blade runners began their search for the ruined marketplace and the human slave barracks that is supposed to be there. Decay, ruin, entropy… the adventurers found nothing grand in the remains of the old empire’s once great trade city.
They came upon what they expected to be part of the marketplace, though it was hard to tell with how much damage the place had take and all the rot that had set in. Still, murky water filled the sunken roads and buildings had crumbled to half-standing hovels. Rygar’s keen eyes and sensitive nose noted that many different pest and other unwanted critters had been infesting the place for a long time.
Udoroar wandered away from the party, lost in his own musings.
The group arrived at a more intact section of the marketplace, where a few buildings still partially stood. Before they could move in to investigate further, however, all manner of rats crawled out of sewers and the muck-saturated water to attack.
After a struggle against great numbers the party, under the tactical wisdom of Pechorin, managed to kill off all the rodents.
What next awaits Graybeard’s agents as they explore the lost city?

Session 2
Priss is Found!

After recovering from the hyena ambush, the party of stalwart Blade Runners moved forward through the Lowpeaks pass. Just as the pass started widening the group came upon a huge barrier set across the passage. The wall was ancient and ruined with collapsed gates and mountains of rockfall and debris marring what once must have been a marvel to behold. Impressive as it was, our heroes had little time to celebrate their discovery as a group of goblins with trained fire beetles attacked. The party managed to fend off the adversaries, and set about trying to examine the gate. With teamwork and intelligence they scaled the wall and beheld the lost city of Priss.

Ruinscape: The Blade Runners
Who runs the Runners?

They all met in Broadleaf Hills, a small gnome village, when a gnome “researcher” named Graybeard (who was really quite young) approached them about searching for the lost ancient trade city of Priss. Jituke the dragonborn paladin and his traveling companion the displaced eladrin wizard, Udoroar, joined with Rygar the minotaur ranger, Lida the halfling rogue and Pechorin the human philosopher. Before they left they were approached by Paul, another human philosopher (this one of Isolate), who asked if they could find him a copy of the Human Slave Code from humans slave barracks in Priss. The party traveled west towards the Lowpeak Mountains, seeking a pass they believed lead to the ancient city. After some challenges they successfully discovered the pass. Just inside they got the drop on a bunch of hyenas who were waiting in ambush.
